Hey glamour ghouls!
What can I say about April??? It has been a month. We have seen a massive set back in the fight for queer rights as Trump's fascist regime continues to plunder and divide and in the UK we saw a massive set back in the fight for Trans rights, as the Equality Act , the very law enacted to protect vulnerable groups, was amended to define gender purely on a biological basis.

But from all this negativity, this doubt, fear, and desperation came a lot of resolve and a lot of fight. One massive highlight of the month for me personally (Josh, your ghostly editorial director) was attending the emergency protest for Trans rights in Parliament Sq (right near Big Ben) in London. As I stood surrounded by likeminded, open hearted people I was taken aback at how much joy and verve there was within the trans and queer communities. I was moved by how much humor there was in the face of such barbaric opposition, how much vitality and energy and strength there was, how many allies had come out to support the cause, and how irrepressible our spirit is. That day really brought home the fact that trans people exist. And that this thriving, beautfiul community will not disappear or cower in the face of opression. No courts, judges, billionaire children's authors, authoritarian regimes, or literally whatever, will prevent trans people from existing. I took hope from this sense of community, from the loud voices, the snarky placards, and the many, many people who have shown up to voice their anger at this decision. And I do believe it is only a matter of time until these voices are heard and respected. We at Tiny Ghost will continue to fight and stand with our siblings, and raise voices as long as we can.

Of course, there were some positive landmarks to the month of April as well.
We released our first title of the year this month. Blackblood is a queer, Mad Max inspired fantasy adventure from debut author Kree Sullivan. We had an amazing time chatting with Kree over on Instagram to celebrate the launch of this title, which is receiving rave reviews. If you haven't you can grab a copy of Blackblood now wherever books are sold!!! And right now we're running a giveaway over on our Instagram, head on over to our grid for more details and you could be one of 15 lucky winners to walk away with either a paperback or ebook of Blackblood.
We were also thrilled to find out our supernatural mystery romance Haunting Melody by Chloe Spencer was named a finalist in the Children's Book International Awards. Massive congrats to Chloe on this!!! IT's such an honor and makes Haunting melody our most awarded title to date!
And finally, we're capping off the month with another milestone, the upcoming third instalment of The Alpha's Son series, Running with the Alpha's Son, has not only become a best seller on Amazon's Gay Fiction for Young Adults Chart, it's also recived an orange banner as a Number 1 new release in Teen and Young Adult LGBTQ+ Fiction! Massive congrats to author Penny Jessup! We are gearing up for the release of Running with the Alpha's Son in just over a month and cannot wait for you all to read this third chapter in Max and Jasper teen werewolf romance.
Looking forward to next month we have some exciting things in the works.
We will be announcing the line up for the 2025 slate of workshops as part of our new Tiny Ghost Masterclass initiative shortly. You can sign up now (here) to register your interest and receive up to date information regarding dates and bookings for these workshops. We're thrilled be adding this education string to our bow and hopefully get to meet more of our readers through this program. More information is coming, but make sure you sign up now so you don't miss out on anything crucial.
And keep an eye on our social channels this month as we have an exciting cover reveal coming your way. I can't say anything else about that one, except that if you're a fan of romantasy you will not want to miss this!
That's all for April, spooky friends. The sun is out here and I've dragged an extra long ewxtension cord so I can work in the garden under the shade of a cherry tree. I hope you're treating yourselves and each other with grace and softness.
And as always, stay scary...
Josh xx
