Hey Lil’ Phantoms
Arte you wearing your sun-scream??? Because summerween is in full effect and those rays are scroching!
We've had a busy month, so let us catch you up on all the summery goings on at TGP.
This month we hosted the first online masterclass for one of our new venture, Tiny Ghost Masterclass, a platform for queer writers to hone their craft in a safe and inclusive environment, this workshop took place in conjunction with the Long Island University Summer Writing Festival and was hosted by our founder and editorial director, Joshua Dean Perry. Participants looked at all the necessary pieces of information for crafting a novel in the modern publishing landscape. A video recording of this session will be available soon for those who couldn't make the class, we'll let you know when it's up on our socials, so keep an eye out. And we are pumped for our next masterclass which will be hosted by Chloe Spencer (author of Monstersona and Haunting Melody) on August 30th. This class will focus on fantasy worldbuilding and creating three-dimensional characters,. It's certain to be a creative and education couple of hours. Tickets are available to purchase through our website and we hope to see you there!

Last week we revealed the cover for our upcoming sapphic sci-fi romance, The Lightyears Between Us, by Shannon K. English. Massive thanks to @avendellart for the gorgeous cover art. The Lightyears Between Us is a rivals to lovers, sapphic sci-fi YA novel, about two bitter rivals, aboard a space station ferrying the last of humanity through space, who are sent on a two-person rescue mission, only to learn they were never meant to return, and on the way learn they have more in common than they thought. It's the perfect cosy Christmas read and is set to release December 2nd, rounding off our lineup of 2025 releases. Preorder your copy now!

At the start of the month we opened our submissions which has kept us very busy. Thank you to everyone who has sent in their work, we're loving reading what you've created. If you are awaiting a response from us please bear with us, we've received quite a few submissions this month alone and endeavour to read, consider, and respond to all of them. If you're thinking of submitting we'll be considering new titles up until Sept 23. We’re especially looking for new romance titles for our new new-adult romance imprint, Tiny Ghost Hearts. If you've got a heart melting, swoonerific queer novel sitting on your hardrive head over to our submissions page for guidelines on how to send it our way!
This month was also host to several pride events here in London, such as London Pride, London Trans Pride, along with International Non-binary Day (14th July). Trans+ rep is super important to us here at Tiny Ghost Press, if you want to check out some of our books with gender-diverse rep, check out My Name is Magic and Haunting Melody for non-binary rep. You can also preorder our upcoming spectral haunted house romance, Between the Walls, releasing September 30th.This month was also disability pride month. For books featuring disabled main characters, you can check out Girls Night for deaf rep, and Blackblood for amputee rep.
It is also summer for those of us residing in the northern hemisphere, and who doesn’t like to read a moody, spooky, read to escape the searing summer heat? Thanks to the genius of Alex Hirsch’s Gravity Falls, we have a name for this phenomenon – Summerween! I think any of our books are perfect to read for Summerween, however, books specifically set during the summer, check out This Pact Is Not Ours, and the first book in our bestselling series, The Alpha’s Son.
It's been a busy month but we're plowing on and will have more spooky, queer content for you in the fall.
Wishing you all a happy Summerween!
Stay scary!
