Ghostly Apparitions!

Tiny Ghost Press Newsletter 2.0, Issue #8, September 31, 2024

Hello!

Tomorrow is the release of our spooky book of the year - Looks around - Okay, so it’s spooky all year ‘round, but it wouldn’t be Tiny Ghost Press without an October release. Haunting Melody is Chloe Spencer’s Sophomore book with us, and if you’ve followed along on social media, I’m sure you can tell we’re so excited about it - Take a look here for more info (and to order yourself a little treat copy, obvi!).

Given it’s a story rooted in all things ghostly, this month's newsletter is making like Tony (the tiny ghost), and haunting books of times gone by - That’s right folx, it’s recommendation corner.

10 books you’ll love if you love books with ghosts.

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark - Alvin Schwartz and Stephen Gammell

How To Sell A Haunted House - Grady Hendrix

The Woman in Black - Susan Hill

The Shining - Stephen King

Beloved - Toni Morrison

The Turn of The Screw - Henry James The Green Man - Kingsley Amis

Kafka on the Shore - Haruki Murakami

Hotel World - Ali Smith

The Little Stranger - Sarah Waters

Heart-Shaped Box - Joe Hill

The Time of The Ghost - Diana Wynne Jones

And speaking of Sophomore novels, we were thrilled to announce this month that we are re-teaming with the inimitable Xan van Rooyen for a The Picture of Dorian Gray inspired queer cyber punk thriller. Check out the deal memo below.

And this September we celebrated sapphic books on our instagram, check out our #sapphicseptember posts and recommendations here.

We are pumped for the release of Haunting Melody tomorrow and so grateful for everyone who has already taken the time to read and review the book. There's still time to get those preorders in before tomorrow.

Next month, we come into our witchy powers as spooky season gets into full swig and we have some super fun things planned so stay tuned and get those pumpkin carving tools ready!

See you then!

Stay scary...

Reuben
